Played this course yesterday. Outstanding condition! Greens were as nice as any I have ever played. Staff was friendly. Good layout that is player friendly. I (as well as the guys in our foursome) will definitely be returning to this course.

A VERY enjoyable course. Fairly open but still challenging. Reasonable rates and an easy drive from North MB. Recommended!

This was a great course to start our golf vacation. Fairways were pretty open, and not a lot of trouble if you hit an errant shot

Great course that balances difficulty with playability.

Mid-March 2013 too early for golf this year. Certainly did not expect painted greens to be crispy. No ball marks for our group. Course fee should be discounted when sub par shape!

played it twice now. Both times a great time. Very peaceful, like you're in the middle of nowhere.

Always Play here twice a year
This course has become one of our must play destinations when we come down in April. A fair test for all golf levels, with an interesting assortment of holes. The price is reasonable and the staff are always friendly. I haven't experienced a day where the course wasn't in immaculate shape. And, of course, the Par 6 18th is always a topic of discussion at the end of the round. A golfer's golf course to be sure.

Carty Path only due to irrigation
Management should inform players of cart path only inforcement when players are booking tee times not when they show up to play. As local we will be not be back for a long time even though this is a great course.

Super course for the money
From the back tees its a beast. Even for a three hdcp. Most better play from the shorter tees.

Took almost 6 hrs. to play. Groups in front of us drinking too much and leaving beer cans on the tee box and the greens, dragging their feet on the greens and the ambassador said there was nothing he could do about it. Why have a ambassador if there is nothing he can do about this kind of problem. Worst round of golf I have ever experienced, will never play there again.

Not impressed with the greens
The greens were in bad shape. Lack of yardage markers made it tough to jundge distance.

Farmstead #18 makes Golf Digest Most Fun Holes List
Farmstead Golf Links 18th hole was voted by Golf Digest as one of the "Most Fun Holes You Can Play In America". The 767 yard Par 6 has you tee off in South Carolina and finish the hole in North Carolina.

Party of 12 from England. Played on 29 April 2010.
Our first obstacle according to reports was that the course is difficult to find. Not so, we found the course without problem and very glad we did. The approach up the drive to the clubhouse with its immaculate fountain and lawn gave us a taste for what was to come. Even though it has only been open for 10 years, it is a very mature course and I have never experienced fairways of the condition of those at Farmstead. They are so immaculate that we were almost afraid to take a divot! I have played around 70 courses in Myrtle Beach since 1994 and would rate Farmstead in the top 5. It is a MUST to play.
Thanks to all those that made it such a memorable day.
