Jack.....He loves his mounds and sand!
A VERY enjoyable course. Reasonably open ....not a lot of "driving down a hallway' holes thank you! However there is plenty of trouble to be found if your swing gets off. Challenging but fair. Always in great shape and a pleasure to play! HIGHLY Recommended!

Excellent course however too long for women 20 handicap and higher
#19 - Sally C - 05/18/2014 - 07:40
Beautiful course but not user friendly to women who have 18 and higher handicaps.

Very nice course but the greens were not in the usual great shape. We enjoyed it.

A challenging course with a good lay-out. I enjoyed playing the course and would consider playing it upon my return next year.

Sand but....
Okay I was in 5 bunkers on the first 3 holes. That said the fairways were generous. I'd play again.

Great Course
Could not play this course on this trip because we got rained out. However, it is one of my favourite courses in MB. Always good condition and staff are great.

Must play
I haven't played this course in 15 years. I will go back every year.

Great track
Love this course. It's a fair test if you play from the correct tees. It played longer than normal because of wet conditions, but drained very well.

Long Bay
My son and I wanted to play a challenging course while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. The course was great and the staff was friendly. It was a good experience for both of us.

Good Course
Our group of 12 played Long Bay April 12 and the course was in great condition. The course is marked extremely well for distances to greens. Greens were sandy and a few didn't like that but overall it is worth the money.

over hyped
Such a course reveiving high reviews boggles my mind, one of the worst courses we played, it's almost like they stopped course maintenance 2 weeks before we played.

Enjoyable
I found this course to be pretty enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and the greens were in excellent condition. As far as how challenging the course is, I found it to be pretty forgiving for the average golfer.
Will definitely be playing this course again in the future.

Like playing at the beach
There are more sand traps on this course than you can imagine. If you are not a good golfer you will think you were at the beach all day.Great and challenging golf course.

Golf Director
Long Bay is a great course and is keep in pristine condition! Open off the tee and very tricky on second shots with most greens having two tiers. You may also want to check out the Hugh Royer Champions Golf Academy which is also at the Long Bay Club.

Killer course!
I played this one last week. Jack has a design all his own. A bit out of the way though, but not too bad. About 25 minutes from North Myrtle Beach. Well worth the drive.
