The courses will be installing different <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/grass-on-myrtle-beach-golf-courses.html\">new hybrids of&nbsp;Bermuda Ultra-Dwarf grass<\/a>, including Champion Bermuda, Mini-Verde Bermuda, Tif-Eagle Bermuda.<\/p>\n<p>These grasses excel in the Southeast, and have increased in popularity over the last couple years for several reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bent grass is more&nbsp;susceptible&nbsp;to disease in the hot summer months compared to Ultra-Dwarf grass<\/li>\n<li>Ultra Dwarf grasses can&nbsp;still maintain speeds of 9-12 on a Stimpmeter just like bent grass<\/li>\n<li>Smooth&nbsp;consistent&nbsp;putting surfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Requires less&nbsp;maintenance (less chemicals, watering, and aerating)<\/li>\n<li>Keeps great color retention in cool seasons<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/barefoot-dye.html\">Barefoot Dye Club<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; The course will be<strong> closed May 21 and reopen July 16<\/strong>. The course is changing from Bent grass to Champion Ultra Dwarf.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/barefoot-love.html\">Barefoot Love<\/a> &#8211; <\/strong>The course will be <strong>closed July 9 and reopen on September 10<\/strong>. The Love course at Barefoot is also changing from Bent grass to Champion Ultra Dwarf.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/grande-dunes.html\">Grande Dunes Resort Course<\/a> &#8211; <\/strong>The Resort Course at Grande Dunes is c<strong>losing on&nbsp;June 26 to August 21<\/strong>. The courses is changing from Bent Grass to Champion Ultra Dwarf Bermuda Grass.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/world-tour.html\">International World Tour Golf Links &#8211; The Open Course<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; The course will be <strong>closed&nbsp;beginning&nbsp;May 15<\/strong> and will rebuild green complexes and change the putting surface grass from L93 bentgrass to Mini-Verde ultradwarf Bermuda grass.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/world-tour.html\">International World Tour Golf Links &#8211; The Championship Course<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; The course will close after the Open Course renovations are complete. The Championship course will also have the green complexes rebuilt and switch from L93 bentgrass to Mini-Verde ultradwarf Bermuda grass.<\/p>\n<div><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/meadowlands.html\">Meadowlands Golf Club<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; The course will<strong> close&nbsp;May&nbsp;24 and is&nbsp;scheduled&nbsp;to reopen August 18<\/strong>. The renovations will change the greens from Bent Grass to Tif Eagle Bermuda Grass and will also be changing the layout of a few holes.<\/div>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/mbn-kings-north.html\">Myrtle Beach National &#8211; Kings North<\/a> &#8211; <\/strong>Arnold Palmer`s Kings North is changing putting surfaces from Bent grass to Champions Ultra Dwarf. The course will be closing <strong>June 25 and reopening on August 21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/prestwick.html\">Prestwick&nbsp;Country Club<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;the course will be c<strong>losing on June 18<span style=\"font-size: 11px;\">&nbsp;<\/span>and be closed until September 15<span style=\"font-size: 11px;\">&nbsp;<\/span>&nbsp;<\/strong>for renovations of greens. They will be putting in Tif-Eagle Bermuda to enhance the putting surface as well as doing other projects around the course.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The trend is catching on!
