The only reason that the Dunes Club is not higher is the fact that 2 golf holes are located right along Highway 17 which takes away from what would make it a perfect afternoon of golf.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>#2) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/caledonia.html\">Caledonia Golf &amp; Fish Club<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2401\" style=\"width: 585px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2401\" class=\"wp-image-2401 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Caldonia-Entrance-575x212.jpg\" alt=\"Caledonia\" width=\"575\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Caldonia-Entrance-575x212.jpg 575w, https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Caldonia-Entrance-300x110.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Caldonia-Entrance.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2401\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Caledonia Golf &amp; Fish<\/p><\/div>\n<p>#2 on my list is Caledonia Golf &amp; Fish Club, also located in Pawley&#8217;s Island and one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/course-architects\/mike-strantz.html\">Mike Stranz<\/a>&#8216;s finest designs. &nbsp;This amazing layout is an all around quiet, relaxing experience from the time you drive through the 200-year old live oaks lining your path to the first hole until watching golfer&#8217;s final approach shots while rocking in chairs on the back porch of the clubhouse. &nbsp;Nothing says relaxing and Lowcountry like playing the Caledonia Golf &amp;Fish Club.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>&nbsp;#1) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/bald-head-island.html\">Bald Head Island<\/a><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2402\" style=\"width: 585px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2402\" class=\"wp-image-2402 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Bald-Head-575x431.png\" alt=\"Bald Head Island Club\" width=\"575\" height=\"431\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Bald-Head-575x431.png 575w, https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Bald-Head-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/thegolfblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Bald-Head.png 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2402\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bald Head Island in NC<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Atop my list is Bald Head Island &#8211; a course so peaceful and secluded that you can only reach it by ferry. &nbsp;If you ever want to take one day out of the year to enjoy life and the game of golf, I advise you spend it at Bald Head Island Golf Club. &nbsp;Your day starts with a peaceful 25 minute ferry ride to the Island. &nbsp;Once there, you and your clubs are taken by golf cart to the clubhouse on the other side of the Island. &nbsp;You then begin&nbsp;your adventure on the George Cobb (and just recently renovated) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/course-architects\/tim-cate.html\">Tim Cate<\/a> design. &nbsp;The sound of the ocean and beach wildlife fill you head and relax you while you play some of the best golf holes the Carolinas have to offer. &nbsp;Most golfers never want to leave so the course allows free replays. &nbsp;Most people take advantage of this just to enjoy a sunset cruise before the travel back to civilization and reality.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While not making it into my top-5 personal favorites, honorable mentions go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/tidewater.html\">Tidewater<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northmyrtlebeachgolf.com\/golf-courses\/cape-fear-national.html\">Cape Fear National<\/a> &#8211; both spectacular, peaceful courses to play while visiting the Grand Strand!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If it&#8217;s relaxation you are after, then THESE are the Myrtle Beach golf courses you need to check out.
