Course Reviews

Very, very disappointed in the course and the greens. The Witch is usually the best of the three courses and it's greens were by far in the worst condition.I wouldn't even pay half price to play the course in this condition.

Very good course. Love the rolling hills and saw grass.

Played this course in October 2013 and this course was in bad shape. Bunkers and T boxes were horrible. The fairways were in fair shape. The greens were very below average and the club house staff was very rude. This course will not be on our golf schedule again.

No Go

Very disappointed. Course needs a lot more TLC, aside from the fact that it felt like a saturated sponge it (it rained the night before but poor drainage?). Some simple things could be done: pick up all the trash along the car paths, clean up the fairways from divots, change the brown water from ball cleaners, shape up the tee boxes and pick up all the broken tees! Overrated.

Four Times Every Trip

We've been going down to Myrtle for several years now and always Play the Witch. We've never had a bad experience with staff or course conditions and always look forward to coming out of the swamp to the first tee. The front nine is beautiful and very challenging. The back nine has a couple of weaker holes but the finish at 17 and 18 is great. The snack bar is good and the staff are friendly. You get a lot more elevation changes than most courses on the Strand. The Gator on 7 will bark at you in your backswing. A must play for us.

Not Worth The Time

Poorly maintained bunker's. Too many blind tee shots. Not for the long hitter. Overrated as an high end course. Won't return.Try Willbrook

I paid $30.00 as an internet special to play this course. Having played it, I am glad that I got to play it for $30.00. Now I know that it would be terrible to have paid more than that to play this absolutely awful golf course. The greens were terrible. I have seen lawns that were in better shape than these greens. The course doesn't look like it has had any serious upkeep and attendance for a long time. The spigots on the water containers were filthy and probably represented a health hazard. I visit Myrtle Beach 4 or 5 times a year and I organize golf trips for retired military officers but I will never include The Witch in one of my packages.
