Tidewater Golf Course is considered to be a masterpiece of golf. Built in 1990, it was ranked as the best new public golf course in America by Golf Digest. Since its creation, this golf course has consistently maintained a top ranking in North Myrtle Beach thanks to its reflection in the classic design of the early golf courses of the 20th century, that had a harmony with the natural landscape, making it a part of it, not separate from it.
The course features stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway, as well as saltwater marshes along the golf course that are a beauty to see, but a hazard to shoot into. With Bengrass greens, it is often said that Tidewater is as pure as the ocean breezes that slowly make their way over the course during the day. So good is this masterpiece of golf architecture that Golf Magazine has ranked Tidewater as one of the top golf courses in the country every year since its construction. It was recently ranked as the 39th ranked golf course in Golf Magazine’s Top 100 You Can Play listing.
Few golf courses can achieve the legendary status as this one has. A true masterpiece of golf, it is so good that no visit to Myrtle Beach would be complete without at least taking in this golf course once.
