Golf Course Description

Inspired by Royal Aberdeen, one of Scotland's oldest golf courses, Aberdeen Country Club brings the best of Scottish golf to Myrtle Beach! Aberdeen is listed as a Tom Jackson premiere 27 hole course of South Carolina. The three nine-hole championship courses--Highlands, Meadows, and Woodlands--are named after the early days of golf.

Tucked among towering hardwoods and the Waccamaw River, this golf course features extensive mounding, wide landing areas, and bent grass greens. The wetland preserve is a natural setting for many of the holes. These challenging courses include water hazards which make skill, accuracy, and precision a must.

Decent for the money
Wasn't the best course I played, but the guys and I had a great time. Nice layout.

You better have some skill
Played this course today for the first time. Very challenging, although I am not the best golfer to grace this Earth. WATER is everywhere on this course so make wise shots.

The Greens were in excellent condition. They were running a bit fast.

Overall I'd rate this course at a C+

Greens?!
The layout was nice, the fairways were pretty decent, but was up with the Greens? Every single one on I believe the Highlands were horrible. They must have had a virus and decided to kill parts of them off. BIG patches of the greens didn't even have grass in them.

If the Greens were even halfway decent I would rate this around a B.

BUT, overall I have to give this course a C- because of the Greens.

Aberdeen Country Club update,
I got to play 9-holes at Aberdeen Country Club on the Woodland nine, last week. Course was in great shape from tee to green and is a challenge to all skill levels. Spend the few bucks to get a yardage book and you should have a great round.
