Golf Course Description
P.B. Dye designed St. James golf course in 1991 with bentgrass greens and bermuda grass fairways. The Gauntlet at St. James is set amid Carolina pines and picturesque live oaks on 200 acres of marsh and lakes. It is a challenge to golfers of all levels with its pot bunkers, bulkheads and shot that must carry water along with multi-level fairways that are the trademarks of Dye's architecture. Good course management is a key here. The final three holes play into an over a series of marshes and lakes andoffer a fantastic finish to this beautifully-designed golf course.
