A local's take on Island Green
Being a local inMyrtle Beach, we get the chance to pretty much play em all. I read the reviews about Island Green. They weren't very nice. I have to say that it was VERY enjoyable!! Greens, fairways were excellent. The first cut off of the fairway is a bit long and thick. Had to search for a couple balls that went a foot off of the fairway. The staff is wonderful. If you ever played this course the renovations, please go back and give em a chance. You'll be glad you did. S. Mullins

My wife and I have visited Myrtle Beach twice a year for the last 5 years. We play Island green 3/4 times and always truly enjoy it. We were sad last November to find it had closed. Very happy it has reopened, we have always found all of the staff vey courteous and helpful. We were always greated with a smile from Muligan the cat.

Island Green Golf Course
Heard that Island Green is going to be reopening under new Management soon, new GM, Grounds Superintendent and all. New Management will certainly help all around, and the residents around the course welcome an upgrade to the facility. Hear that some good things are coming, course should be in excellent shape this time next year. The new new super is currently at Wedgefield Plantation and has played a major role in turning that place into a great course- can't wait!

I'll give it a 3
Played this course a few months ago and it was "ok". I guess the price was worth it if you want to just get out there and not care.

absolutely the worst golf course i have ever played. If it is not scheduled to close, it should be. Terrible fairways, greens and the staff should stay at home, rude, rude, rude.
