Golf Course Description

The confluence of Lockwood Folly River and the Intracoastal Waterway provides the location for Lockwood Folly Golf Club and its beautiful natural vistas of moss covered hardwoods and tidal estuary. This member-owned, well-conditioned golf course is considered a hidden gem by its returning golfers. Golfers can be challenged by the nonparallel fairways making their way through pine and hardwoods while still enjoying a sense of seclusion.

 

This masterful design by Willard Byrd earned a 1988 nomination as a top 10 course in North Carolina, was named a "4 Star Places to Play" by Golf Digest in 2000. Accurate shotmaking is required for these picturesque holes--even though a full range of shot selections is available, distance is less important than accuracy here.

 

The owners take pride in the beauty and quality of this equity membership course located just minutes from Shallotte, NC. This is a golf experience worth repeating!
