Golf Course Description
The Reserve Club is the fourth course on St. James Plantation. The course opened in May 2006 with Design Associate, John Cope at the helm. A Jack Nicklaus design with Michael Nicklaus as lead designer, The Reserve Club was named "Best New Course in North Carolina" for 2006 by the 130-member North Carolina Golf Panel.
This par-72, 7,212-yard course was built through acres of wetlands with many grass faces and areas of mulch, bark creating tee lines. Golf panelists rated The Reserve Club, 39th in the state based on routing, flow, design, strategy, fairness, memorability, condition, variety, aesthetics and the overall experience.
