Bald Head Island Golf Course
Imagine a golf course so secluded that it can only be reached by passenger ferry or private boat. With George Cobb's design and the essence of the island, Bald Head Island Club is a course like no other. The Bald Head Island Club, an exclusive, private facility, located off the cost of Southport, NC has now been opened for limited public play. A short distance from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina the Bald Head Island Club is a resort so golf-oriented, that there are no cars - only golf carts.
With a slope rating of 137 from the men's tees and 113 from the women's, the course wraps around 15 freshwater lagoons, through a maritime forest, and across dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Recently, Bald Head Island Club has been rated:
"Ranked # 12 in Myrtle Beach" by Golf Digest
